1.) Blk Jay - FLIGHT
Working on Blk Jay’s album ‘FLIGHT’ cover was an exhilarating experience. He was such a natural when it came to modeling and made the entire process easier. He came to me with the idea of having birds flying around him in black & white. I used my photo manipulation skills to print out various bird photos and placing Jay’s signature gold jewelry on the birds. After numerous FaceTime calls we came up with the perfect cover for ‘FLIGHT’.
2.) Baewülf - Truth Be Told
I had the pleasure of working with my client, Caleb “Baewulf” Smith, on an unforgettable photoshoot experience set at an abandoned college football stadium for his 4th studio album, “Truth Be Told”. After getting the film developed and printed, I used my post-editing photo manipulation skills to come up with the front cover design. A lot of trial and error, but it was an exceptional and memorable experience that pushed my creativity. Caleb’s album “Truth Be Told” is available on all music platforms. Shot and edited by Kyla Brown with graphic design on the cover and track list done by Caleb Smith.
3.) LIV - From Experience
Working with LIV on her album cover shoot for ‘From Experience’ was a delightful journey of creativity. The photoshoot was not only fun but also an opportunity to harness my set design skills to craft the perfect backdrop for LIV’s vision. Collaborating closely with LIV, we brought her music to life through visuals that captured the essence of her album. It was an inspiring enjoyable process, and the final images truly reflect the artistry and passion that she pours into her music. I spoke with LIV about her album and this is what she had to say:
“I feel like From Experience speaks on my experience as a person and as an artist, it touches places close to my heart that I don’t share. I learned a lot about myself when I made that album and it showed me who I’m becoming as an artist. I call myself ‘LIV’ not just because it’s my name but because that’s my personality. I truly LIV my life with no regrets, my energy is always high spirits, I love who loves me, and I spread love. I feel like this album really shows you who I am as a person and gives a taste of what I’ve been through as well.” - LIV
4.) Lawsvn - Emotionally Unavailable
Collaborating with the talented artist, Lawsvn, at Cam Kirk Studios for their album cover was an incredible experience. We used film photography and natural lighting to capture the essence of their music, resulting in a beautiful and meaningful collection of images. It was a truly productive and memorable project. I spoke with Lawsvn and this is what she had to say:
“Emotionally Unavailable was a project I made to discuss my past toxic relationship. The songs complied of things I either lack or wanted from that relationship. I discussed needing reassurance, reciprocity, and just all around feeling stupid within myself in that relationship. My next project “Love Languages” that I’m releasing soon, I wanted to make a part 2 of “Emotionally Unavailable” where I dive into each love language and describe how I’m currently feeling within my love life as it pertains each language. My EP helps me live through my past experiences and shows me how much I’ve grown and don’t hold the same emotion as I once did.” -Lawsvn
