Kyla Brown is a film photographer and multi-faceted artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where she discovered her love for modeling, painting, drawing, and sewing. She moved to Atlanta in 2020 right before the COVID-19 pandemic, and that is when she started to explore other mediums and stumbled upon polymer clay and photography.
She started photography from modeling and always having a love to take photos. She decided to go straight into film cameras to really focus on how to take a clean shot, set up framing, learn light settings, and simply how to be patient when shooting. After many blank rolls and failed photoshoots, she started to find a deep love for film photography.
Now, she’s geared her focus towards portrait film photography. She wants her photos to tell a story and make the viewers feel something when they look at them, almost like a movie still. Kyla would love to broaden her set design and wardrobe styling skills to really elevate her as a film photographer. Her dream goal is to be a documentary photographer where she would travel the world and become immersed into different cultures and events to document them.
